Help for Ex-Offenders
|
|
|
Dedicated Resettlement Plus Helpline offers information
and advice to
ex-offenders, serving prisoners, their families and friends and
organisations working with them. Each year, the Helpline deals with
over 7,000 enquiries. The most common enquiries are about dealing
with a criminal record, and how to find work and somewhere to live.

conviction
- The annual cost of crime is £60 billion
- Employment can reduce re-offending by between a third and
a half
- But a criminal record can seriously diminish employment opportunities
